SHOULDN'T HAVE ASKED
By Nicholas Knight
Nigel was suspicious of his new girlfriend.
He only saw her at night, and she hated garlic and churches. The signs were
all there. But he couldn't bring himself to "stake" her without
first hearing her case.
She chuckled when accused. "Don't be
ridiculous," she said, holding the crucifix he'd thrust upon her.
"There's no such thing as vampires..."
Embarrassed, and unable to look her in the
eyes, he stared past her at a rising full moon. Still, something bothered
him. He wondered why she hated silver so much...
Nigel's girlfriend growled, suddenly on all
fours, revealing her hairy secret.
