New Guidelines

Attention:  All submissions are closed.  Thank you.

MILLENNIUM SCIENCE FICTION & FANTASY will be accepting short stories, flash fiction & poetry submissions from 1 February - 10 February.

After that open period, we shall accept short stories only once a quarter.  The editor will call the next open submission period.  The rules have changed.

Short Story (maximum length 2500 words):

1) Format your story as follows.

Your Real Name
Your StreetAddress
Your City, State, Province etc.
Your Country
Your Zip or Postal Code
Your Email
Approximate word Count

Title
By...(place pen name here)

<Body of the Story>

The End

Author's Bio

Font to be used is either courier new or times new roman, 12 point.

2) Go to edit in your word processor.  Select All.  Everything will be high-lighted.  Go to edit again.  Select Copy.  Then pull up this page in your browser.  Go to the Short Story submission box.  Place your cursor in the box.  Go to edit on your browser.  Select Paste.  Your story should appear in the box.  Don't worry how it looks.  In trials, Gorilla and I have determined that it transmits perfectly.  Hit Submit.

3)  Why all the rig-a-ma-ro?  First my ISP.  They had to reboot the system twice during the month of November.  That resulted in bounced emails.  The new system will route to both my mail box, and a private form on the web site.

In trial runs, Gorilla and I have discovered that although it may look garbled in the submission box, it transmits perfectly.  All I must do is highlight the submission, click double-space, and it prints beautifully.  (Do to eye strain, I can no longer read on the Web.  I print everything out.)

4)  If you are unsure, or hestitant, about using this new method, you may still submit your  manuscript (using standard ms format, attached as a .rtf file) to tsuki@iname.com.  VERY IMPORTANT - Write Story Submission in your email subject line.  My last computer most likely crashed because of a variation of the kak.worm.  Gorilla, my computer guru, has formatted my email to reject any email from an unknown with this one exception.  Story Submission is routed to a folder where it is checked for all known viruses.

4) Payment is one cent per ms. word.  Minimum payment is $5.00.  Maximum is $20.00.

Flash Fiction (maximum length 100 words):

1) Flash Fiction submissions are to be placed in the body of an email (cut & paste).  In your email, included your name, address and word count.

2) Any bio information should be place after "The End."  It may be written in either first or third person.

3) VERY IMPORTANT - Write Flash Fiction Submission in your email subject line.

4) Payment is $5.00.

Poetry (maximum length 100 lines):

1) Poetry submissions are to be placed in the body of an email (cut & paste).  In your email, included your name, address and word count.
