National Writer's Monthly

Winners of the Winter '99 24-hour Short Story contest announced.   Fifty-four winners were notified in February.  Top awards went to:

1st Place - Christine MacKinnon for A Brief History Lesson

2nd Place - Adarsh Carter for A Special Blend

3rd Place - M. Mitchell for The Valentine Project

The Winter topic was "February, 2999."  Pre-registered participants were emailed the topic at noon on 30 January.  The entries had to be returned by email or fax within 24 hours.
