The Eppie Winners

The winners of the first annual Eppie Awards, given by Electronically Published Internet Connection (EPIC) to the best electronic books (ebooks) in fifteen categories were announced and physical award given to those present on August 26, 2000 at the EPIC Conference's gala award. The rest of the awards will be sent to the winners.

All ebooks published prior to January 1, 2000 were eligible for the award and almost 200 authors entered. The categories were judged by members of EPIC, all published authors. After the first round of judging, the works of the finalists were sent to another panel of judges and winners in all fifteen categories were selected. The judges were unanimous in declaring the judging was difficult because all the books were so good.

Prior to the Eppies, The Florence Moyer Service Award, named in honor of one of EPIC's founders and given to the member who, in the opinion of the membership, has served the most in promoting EPIC's continued well-being was presented to Mary Z. Wolf, a tireless worker in the field of Electronic

Publishing.  And then the Eppies were given--
