"Please," the Devil pleaded.

"Absolutely not," God replied. "It'll create all kinds of problems. Pass the cream and sugar."

"But what harm could it do?"

"Jesus I. Christ! Have you forgotten what happened last time?"

"I know." The Devil paused. "That wasn't all my fault"

"You sure took advantage."

"You didn't give me much to work with."

"Maybe," God acknowledged.

"So," the Devil said, a twinkle in his eye. "What'll it be?"

"Oh, alright," God acquiesced. "Just leave me alone."

"Yes!" the Devil declared, pumping his fist.

And God made an apple for Adam the Aardvark
